With long sunny days, vines laden with grapes and     September is an amazing time to visit Champagne.  But it’s also the busiest time of the year in the wineries, meaning to get the most out of your trip you’ll need someone who can open the doors for you.

Our cruises include daily tour guide led excursions letting you experience both the grandeur of the great houses and the personal connection of visiting a family vineyard.

You’ll explore the cellars, walk in the vines and taste over 20 different champagnes.   If you’re onboard during the harvest you’ll even have a try at picking the grapes and watching them be gently pressed.

We had a fabulous time on the Serenity - food, accommodation and experiences were all superb. Highlights included cocktails in the spa on deck while cruising, fabulous meals (especially on the barge) and tasting so much champagne. Thanks Claire and Graham for a really special trip.

Discover champagne from the water

The canal and the river Marne run through the heart of Champagne.  Not only does being afloat offer a different perspective on the landscape but travelling slowly offers the time to connect and relax.

Each morning we’ll spend 3 to 5 hours cruising along the through peaceful countryside.  While we’re travelling the crew are here to look after you – relax on deck and soak in the scenery, take a dip in the jacuzzi or join Captain Claire in the wheelhouse, you can even try steering the barge!

And whilst this may be small ship cruising, at 128ft (39m) long there’s plenty of space on board, with a large open plan lounge dining area inside and a sun deck with dining area, comfortable seating and even a jacuzzi.   You can find out more about the barge here.
